I-78 Repairs To Continue Into Evening Commute After Truck Overturns In Somerset County
The rollover was reported on I-78 west in Bedminster near the Bridgewater border around 6 a.m. on Wednesday.

BEDMINSTER, NJ — Drivers should make other plans as emergency repairs to Interstate 78 West will continue through the evening commute after a tractor-trailer overturned on Wednesday morning causing major delays during the morning commute.
At about 6 a.m. on Wednesday, all lanes on I-78 westbound were closed between I-287 and Exit 26/Rattlesnake Bridge Road, as well as the ramps from I-287 to I-78 westbound, due to an overturned tractor-trailer, according to New Jersey Department of Transportation.
The left lane and the ramps from I-287 to I-78 westbound were reopened at about 11:30 a.m.

However, the center and right lanes will remain closed to allow for emergency repairs to expand the width of the shoulder on I-78 westbound near the Bridge over the North Branch of the Raritan River in Bedminster.
Only one lane will remain open during repairs. The work is expected to be completed on Wednesday night.

"The lane closures will continue through the evening commute. Motorists should expect heavy congestion and major delays and should consider alternate routes," according to NJDOT.
Drivers should seek an alternate route and avoid the area.
