Pedestrian Hit By Car In Basking Ridge, Hospitalized With Serious Injuries

The 71-year-old man was hit by an SUV near a crosswalk on Allen Road Wednesday, said Bernards Township Police.

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — A 71-year-old man is hospitalized with serious injuries after being hit by an SUV on Wednesday, said Bernards Township Police.

At around 3:30 p.m., a 2013 White Lexus SUV had stopped at Hamilton Road and turned left onto westbound Allen Road when it hit the pedestrian near the crosswalk, said police.

The pedestrian had serious injuries and was taken to Morristown Hospital for treatment.

As a result of the crash, police issued an alert around 4:30 p.m. warning drivers to expect delays on Allen Road near Tartan Drive.
