Peraton Labs Welcomes Rep. Malinowski To Basking Ridge

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Representative Tom Malinowski (D-NJ-7) stopped by Peraton Labs in Basking Ridge recently to learn how the company protects infrastructure from cyber threats, a news release said.

Peraton is a national security company that "is working to protect military platforms, the power grid, and other critical infrastructure from cyberattacks," the news release from Congressman Malinowski said.

Malinowski supported additional funding earlier this year so the lab could strengthen cybersecurity for the U.S. Navy's MQ-8 drone helicopter, the news release said. Malinowski met with the president of Peraton Labs, Petros Mouchtaris, and employees.

“As our military increases its reliance on remotely piloted and autonomous weapons, protection from cyberattacks is becoming more critical to our national security,” said Representative Malinowski. “I’m proud that companies in our district are conducting the advanced research needed for America to stay ahead of its adversaries, and I’ll keep helping them build the partnerships that enable their success.”
