Police Urge Basking Ridge Residents To Check Vehicles For Stolen Items

"If you have security cameras that recorded anything suspicious within that time frame please save the video."

Basking Ridge, NJ -- Police are looking into a number of car break-ins in the Basking Ridge area.

At least two cars were burglarized between May 28 at 10 p.m. and May 29 at 6 a.m. in the area of Mount Airy Road between Valley and Lyons. As well as on Lyons Road between Mt Airy and the Lyons Mall, Bernards Township Police Detective Mark Leopold said.

Residents who live along the above listed streets and side streets are being urged to check their vehicles for missing items.

Items stolen included two bikes and other personal items.

"Please check to see if any items are missing from yards and sheds as well," police reported. "If you have security cameras that recorded anything suspicious within that time frame please save the video."

Police would not disclose whether or not the vehicles were unlocked, but do urge residents to keep their cars locked.
