Power Outage To Remain Until Wednesday Night For Somerset County

About 500 JCP&L customers remain without power on Tuesday following severe wind on Monday and may not get power until Wednesday night.

SOMERSET COUNTY, NJ — Some Somerset County locals are still without power following a storm Monday that brought wind gusts of up to 60 mph and downed trees and wires. And it looks like power will not be restored anytime soon.

About a total of 500 JCP&L and PSE&G customers remain without power Tuesday. JCP&L is not estimating restoration of power until Wednesday at 11 p.m.

  • Bernards Township - 91
  • Bernardsville - 36
  • Branchburg - 67
  • Bridgewater - 29
  • Far Hills - 61
  • Hillsborough - 5
  • Peapack and Gladstone - 17
  • Warren - 40

PSE&G is reporting 13 locals without power as of 9 a.m. in Hillsborugh, Millstone, Montgomery, Somerville and Warren. Power is estimated to be restored in some areas by 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Additionally, Millstone River Road remains closed from Blackwells Mills and the Millstone border due to a downed pole, Hillsborugh Police reported Tuesday morning.
