Pro Womens' Wrestling Benefit

Pro Wrestling show in Long Hill benefits Bernards, Bernardsville and Long Hill organizations.

Female wrestlers will take over the limelight at the next pro wrestling benefit show scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Sat., Jan. 21, at the Long Hill Township Community Center, 264 S. Warren Ave. off Valley Road in the Stirling section of the township.

The Knights Of Columbus of Basking Ridge and Bernardsville, The Long Hill P.B.A., and The Bernards Township Regional Chamber Of Commerce will host the show as a fundraiser for those organizations. The show will feature the northeast promotion National Wrestling Superstars and leading all-ladies promotion Women Superstars, according to an announcement from the Bernards Township chamber.

This first show of 2012 for both promotions is being called "Blitzkrieg," and will abound with male and female wrestling stars, said Al LiCata, executive director of the Bernards regional chamber.

"And if that wasn't big enough right there, referee'ing this first-ever encounter will be former WWE Women's Champion Molly Holly," LiCata said.

In other ladies action, Becky Bayless (a.k.a former TNA/Impact Wrestling star Cookie) will challenge WSU Spirit Champion Jessica Havok, and "Boy Diva" Rick Cataldo will be challenged by Jessie Brooks.

The show will also include LiCata as guest ring announcers, along with Long Hill P.B.A. Patrol Officer Gary Bauer.

"We are looking forward to a packed house on the 21st for this event," he said, encouraging those who wish to attend to buy tickets in advance.
