Read To Dogs At Bernards Township Library

This program allows children to gain confidence in themselves and their reading skills.

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Children will have a chance to read to therapy dogs at the Bernards Township Library on Saturday.

From 2 to 3 p.m., children ages 6 and older are invited to bring their favorite book to read for 10 minutes to a therapy dog at the library.

The dogs are part of a program called Creature Comfort Pet Therapy where the dogs are trained to sit and patiently listen to children read. This program allows children to gain confidence in themselves and their reading skills.
