Read A Kid's Book While Strolling A Basking Ridge Park

Bernards Township Library and Bernards Township Parks and Recreation announce the next installation of StoryWalk at Pleasant Valley Park.

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Families can enjoy children's stories while strolling Pleasant Valley Park as part of StoryWalk®.

The Bernards Township Library in conjunction with Bernards Township Parks and Recreation announced the next installation takes families on a walk in the park while they read the children’s book Big Bear Hug, written and illustrated by Nicholas Oldland.

Pages from the book are attached to signs along a path, and questions are posted to stimulate discussion and observation.

To visit the StoryWalk® park in the lot next to the tennis courts and walk toward the pond to find the first stop.

The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT. and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library. StoryWalk® is a registered service mark owned by Mrs. Ferguson.

This project, funded by The Friends of Bernards Township Library, makes for a family fun
outing exercising one’s mind and body. Pleasant Valley Park is located at 3405 Valley Road,
Basking Ridge.
