Recycling Rally To Accept Electronic Waste On Thursday

Verizon's Recycling Rally will be held on Thursday in Basking Ridge from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. where locals can get rid of computers and more.

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Locals can get rid of unwanted electronics and other items from home during Verizon’s sixth Recycling Rally on Thursday in Basking Ridge from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The recycling rally is free and open to the public. Participants will be eligible for a free giveaway at the event. It will be held at One Verizon Way in Basking Ridge.

Recycling Rallies are a part of Verizon’s commitment to protect and preserve the environment by enabling employees and the public to be green at work and at home.

Since the program was launched in 2009, more than 100 events have been held across the country resulting in more than 3.22 million pounds of eWaste collected, surpassing the program’s 2015 goal of reaching 2 million pounds. The new goal is to collect 4 million pounds of eWaste by 2020.
