Registration Open For Bernards Township PALS Program

The Integrated Preschool program educates special needs and typically developing children in a hands-on learning environment.

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Registration is open for the Bernards Township Integrated Preschool Program or PALS (Preschool for All Learning Styles).

The program educates special needs and typically developing children in a hands-on learning environment utilizing the creative curriculum. A dual certified teacher in Special Education and P-3 General Education teaches the classes with a classroom aide providing additional instructional support.

The integrated preschool program is held four days a week at Mount Prospect School in Basking Ridge. There is no transportation provided for our integrated preschool students. The morning session takes place from 9 to 11:45 a.m. and the afternoon session takes place from 12:45 to 3:30 p.m. There are no classes on Fridays.

The preschool program follows the district school year calendar.

The class size ranges from 8 to 12 students. Special needs preschoolers are those identified by the Preschool Child Study Team and found eligible for special education and related services under the New Jersey Administrative Code.

Students are enrolled on a first come first serve basis. Once accepted into the program, each student may return until reaching kindergarten age.

The tuition for non-classified students is $300 per month. Tuition is due the 15th of each month prior. Children must be fully toilet trained prior to entering the program in September.
