On April 1, the Women’s Leadership Club organized their annual Women’s Leadership Summit. This is the club’s third summit, led by Mrs. Fiorella Bologno, Italian teacher at Ridge.
The club promotes confidence in young women and encourages them to embrace leadership roles in their future carriers. The students from Ridge High School had the opportunity to listen to inspirational lives of two incredible women: Ms. Caela Carter and Ms. Carolyn Gaziano.
Ms. Carter is a graduate of Ridge High School and the author of five books for kids and teens. Her latest book is entitled Forever or a Long, Long Time. She offered advice for navigating traditionally male dominated careers with grace and confidence with anecdotes from her own life.

Ms. Gaziano is the Mayor of Bernards Township and has served on the Bernards Township Committee for the last eight years. She spoke about starting her career in Engineering before her run in politics. It was a passionate speech on women's roles in society and overcoming professional and personal obstacles.
At the end of their presentations, the audience had the opportunity to ask questions to the speakers.
