Written by Moss Hart and George S. Kauffman, the show follows an evening in the lives of the high-strung Sycamore family and their daughter, Alice, as they meet and mingle with the high-society Kirby family and their son, Tony, over a family dinner. While it’s evident that Alice and Tony have fallen in love, their parents try to come to terms with the wildly different approach to parenting and family life that exists between them. Along with help from an ex-Grand Duchess turned waitress, Rheba the family maid and her boyfriend, Donald, and Grandpa, “You Can’t Take It With You” takes you on an often-hilarious journey that will surely make you smile.
The Ridge production is directed by Megan Kern, with set design and construction by Jason M. Stewart, and lighting and sound direction by Dallas Harvey.
