Ridge Forensics Team Take Second Place In Weekend Tournament
Five students on the team were also named champions of their respective categories.

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — After a long Saturday competing at Randolph High School, the Ridge Forensics Team took second place as a team overall, and five students were named champions of their respective categories: seniors Amy Cao (Extemporaneous Speaking) and Rebecca Davidov (Varsity Lincoln Douglas Debate), junior James Mathai (Original Oratory), sophomore Adhirai Karthik (Oral Interpretation), and freshman Amandeep Manda (Junior Lincoln Douglas Debate).
Additional outstanding performances were given by: seniors Ginny Kim (second, Varsity Congress Debate) and Abigail Lee (fourth place, Impromptu Speaking and fourth place, Original Oratory); juniors Aarya Raval (fifth place, Improvisational Acting), Mannan Pandey (fifth place, Impromptu Speaking and fifth place, Original Oratory), Sameer Bagga (ninth place, Varsity Congressional Debate), Celine Huang (sixth place, Original Oratory), Andrew Cui (seventh place; Varsity Congressional Debate), Shaurya Ganjoo (second place, Varsity Lincoln Douglas Debate), Navya Raju (second place, Extemporaneous Speaking), Ami Singh (second place, Impromptu Speaking and fourth place, Informative Speaking), Maryam Faizan (second place, Oral Interpretation and fourth place, Improvisational Acting), Kuber Sarwal (third place, Varsity Congressional Debate), Sameer Wadhwa (fourth place, Extemporaneous Speaking) and Alice Yeo (fourth place, Humorous Interpretation); sophomores MJ Chu and Sameer Kandra (second place, Varsity Parliamentary Debate), Hasini Namburi (top novice, Declamation and top novice, Impromptu Speaking), Ella Tadros (fifth place, Declamation), Raina Prassad (sixth place, Programmed Oral Interpretation), Max Kern (fourth place, Varsity Congressional Debate), Siona Belawat (second place, Junior Varsity Lincoln Douglas Debate), Aanvi Khade (eighth place, Varsity Congressional Debate), Jia Aggarwal (eleventh place, Varsity Congressional Debate), and Aparna Iyer (third place, Extemporaneous Speaking); freshman Aryav Gaddam (second place, Novice Lincoln Douglas Debate), Vivian Liu and Aditi Terli (second place, Novice Public Forum Debate), Rosa Qin (fourth place, Novice Lincoln Douglas Debate), and Himnish Koul (fifth place, Novice Lincoln Douglas Debate).
The team will take a rest this weekend before gearing up to compete the first weekend in December at George Mason University, Princeton University and an online tournament.
