Ridge Graduates Take Lawyer.com to a New Level

Basking Ridge, NJ -- Based in Basking Ridge, Lawyer.com is celebrating its eigth year of helping to connect consumers with lawyers all across the country and beyond.

The company located in the Mountainview complex by Route 78 was started in 2008 by Chief Executive Officer, Gerald Gorman -- who has worked on Wall Street for 20 years.

Looking to create a directory that connects locals to lawyers across the country, Gorman hired three graduates of Ridge High School.

The graduates include current Vice President of Lawyer Services, Colleen Joyce; Director of Product Development Matt Germann and Manager of Acquisitions and International Kevin Maher.

“We are proud to have headquarters in Basking Ridge, as the talent pool for hiring new employees is exceptional,” said Colleen Joyce. “Some of our current management team are Ridge High School alumni, and have been promoted from within the company. Lawyer.com is very optimistic about our future in Basking Ridge, and we look forward to further success in our hometown.”

Over the past years Lawyer.com has grown to more than 20 employees and offers instant access to 1.7 million U.S. lawyer profiles across 138 practice areas. Maher has even helped the company branch out into Canada and most recently the United Kingdom.

The site helps customers view detailed information on lawyer’s experience and credentials.

“I am now in my fifth year here and its been neat to watch everything grow,” Maher said.
