Ridge Ski Team Girls Win First Slalom Race of the Season
Boys Team Follow Close Behind Placing Second

The Ridge High School varsity and JV girls ski team win their first slalom race of the season last night, on January 30th. Varsity girls won by 44 seconds last night with a combined time of 5:24.57. Boys varsity took a close second with a combined time of 5:29.46 and JV boys took second place.
Nine varsity Ridge racers placed in the top 15 individually.
Freshman, Marisa Tomaru lead the varsity girls in 3rd, followed by Annie Mohan, 4th, Liz Ingraham, 5th, Aidyn Thompson, 6th and Rachel Novick, 10th.

Rishi Kundargi lead the varsity boys in 2nd, followed by Mark Minsch, 8th, Kieran O’Connor, 9th and Chris Campione, 13th.
For girls JV, MJ Pinto was 1st, Kylee Horner, 2nd, Yui Kostsuma, 3rd, Makayla Perrotti, 4th and Petra Deffenbaugh, 5th.

For the boys JV, Sean Caricich was 1st, Kenny Detlet, 3rd, Colin James, 7th, David Hilferty, 8th, Brian Green, 9th and Ethan Lipset, 10th.
Head Coach Fico shared, "The kids have put in so much time and effort. They really deserve this success."
The Ridge Ski Team looks forward to the Dual Slalom race Saturday, 2/1 at Mountain Creek, NJ.
