Eight Ridge Skiers Qualify and Compete at Race of Champions

Eight Ridge Skiers Recognized as NJ "All-League" and Competed at Race of Champions

Basking Ridge – Eight Ridge skiers qualified and competed in the 2020 New Jersey Interscholastic Ski Racing Association Race of Champions on February 24th at Mountain Creek Ski Resort in Vernon.

Three Ridge girls placed in the top 25. Annie Mohan 13th (2:43.91), Liz Ingraham 15th (2:48.48) Aidyn Thompson, 25th (3:03.50).

Two Ridge boys placed in the top 25. Mark Minsch 15th (2:38.92), Kieran O’Connor 19th (2:40.76). Rishi Kundargi 26th (2:44.83), Brandon Mark 33rd (2:50.58), Zach Pedicone 34th (2:50.80).

Rishi Kundargi senior and captain ended his Ridge racing career by sharing, "How lucky am I to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard." -Winnie the Pooh

Liz. Ingraham, senior and captain ended her Ridge racing career by sharing, "Although today was an individual race, I’m proud of my teammates' accomplishments. It’s going to be hard to say goodbye to this team."

Head Coach John Fico leads the team along with assistant coaches Alex Ballas, Kate Bondy, Ben Carroll, Val Cetrulo and Jamie Scott. Coach Fico said, “They should all be very proud to have qualified for such a prestigious event. The kids raced their hearts out today with some pretty nice results."
