Ridge Students Raise Funds, Create Virtual Sports Tutorials
The weekly virtual soccer practice videos include drills and challenges for kids to try at home while quarantined due to the coronavirus.

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Presidents of the Bonnie Brae Club at Ridge High School, Matheson McCune and Tommy Vitolo, are collecting donations for the students and staff of Bonnie Brae School during the new coronavirus.
"We decided to start collecting donations for the students at Bonnie Brae because we knew they were in quarantine too. Unlike us, they do not have lots of board games, books, sports equipment, or video games to use when they had nothing to do. We also decided to start collecting donations for the staff because the teachers and administrators on campus are essential staff and still have to come into work every day during the quarantine, so we wanted to show our gratitude and the Bonnie Brae students gratitude for their continued support," said McCune and Vitolo.

Along with the fundraiser McCune and Vitolo are creating weekly virtual soccer practice videos with soccer drills and challenges for the boys at Bonnie Brae to complete on their own to develop their soccer skills and have some fun.
"I decided to start making the sports videos for the Bonnie Brae boys because I wanted to find a way to still allow them to practice and learn soccer without having practices. With the videos, they can still have fun experiences with different sports without in-person interaction," McCune said.

McCune and Vitolo have both played soccer together since preschool and it was this love for soccer that first brought them into contact with Bonnie Brae.
McCune created the YouTube Channel "Bonnie Brae Sports" where he posts the weekly practices.
