Road Closures For 'Slurry Seal' Treatment Planned In Basking Ridge

The slurry seal coating is roughly the height of a quarter on its side, but extends the usable life of a roadway by as much as five years.

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Two roadways in Basking Ridge will close Tuesday and Wednesday night for Somerset County to apply a "slurry seal."

County Route 640 Lyons Road/S Finley Avenue from Cross Road to Quincy Road will close on Tuesday night and County Route 613 Stonehouse Road from S Finley Avenue to Valley Road on Wednesday.

These roads will be closed from 8 p.m. to around 5:30 am. , said Bernards Township Police.
