Road Work To Continue Thursday In Basking Ridge

Work will continue on Gerard Avenue, Atlas Road, Gold Boulevard, Wharton Way and Parkwood Lane on Thursday.

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Road work will continue on multiple roads in Bernards Township on Thursday, the township announced

Paving of Gerard Avenue will continue Thursday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Gerard Avenue will be closed with access restricted between Debra Lane and Woods Ends Drive. All on-street parking is prohibited. A tar-like coating will be applied before paving; this can damage your car.

Driver should make alternate parking arrangements and avoid driving on the street. All restoration will be completed after paving.

Infrastructure repairs, including sidewalk, curb, and driveway repairs will continue on Thursday from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Atlas Road, Gold Boulevard and Wharton Way. Access will be affected at driveways only on Atlas Road and Gold Boulevard that have white paint marks on the sidewalk and/or street.

Drivers should make alternate parking arrangements. Access may be limited at times. Drivers should exercise caution while traveling through the area.
