Routes 78, 22, 206 Among N.J.'s Deadliest Roads, Report Says

Routes 78, 22 and 206 were listed as among the deadliest highways, according to nj.com article that compiled data from New Jersey Department of Transportation and State Police crash statistics.
The ranking was based on the number of deaths reported on each roadway in 2016.
Route 78 came in at number 10 and tied with Route 27 which reported 10 deaths in 2016. Running west to east, the interstate stretches roughly 67 miles from Pennsylvania to New York City, according to nj.com.

Route 206 came in at number 18 and tied with four other state highways including Route 22, 35 and 322. They all reported six deaths in 2016. That is up from three reported on Route 206 in 2015, according to nj.com.
The roughly 130-mile-long Route 206 runs north to south across the Garden State spans from Bordentown up to Newton.

Route 22 also came in at number 18 with six deaths in 2016. That is down from seven in 2015, according to nj.com.
