“The biggest threats with these storms will be torrential rain and gusty winds in excess of 60 mph,” AccuWeather Meteorologist Edward Vallee said on his agency’s site.

According to the National Weather Service, the forecast for Monday and Tuesday is:

Monday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 68. Light southwest wind.

Tuesday: Showers and thunderstorms likely after noon. Some storms could be severe, with damaging winds. Partly sunny, with a high near 90. Southwest wind 7 to 16 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Tuesday night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 2 a.m. Partly cloudy, with a low around 63. West wind 6 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
