BERNARDSVILLE, NJ — A peaceful march is being planned on Saturday in Bernardsville to put an end to racial injustice following the killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
"It's as simple as showing up in solidarity. Your body in motion matters. Your voice matters. It's time to speak up for Black and Brown Americans because they are exhausted," wrote Gina Oreficé Beltz, who is organizing the event. "Silence won't erase the inconvenient truth of police brutality in America. Only action can. Together with one another we can move forward on the long journey to justice."
The march will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and assemble at the Bernards High School and stop at the Millicent Fenwick statue where there will be a vigil set up before ending in front of the train station where the Farmer's Market will be held.
