Somerset County Deadlines Extended For Awards And Grants Applications

The Somerset County Planning Board and Cultural & Heritage Commission have extended the deadline for awards and grant programs.

Due to the public healthcare emergency, the Somerset County Planning Board and Cultural & Heritage Commission have extended the deadlines for its awards and grant programs. Application resubmission is not necessary. The deadline extension dates for applications are:

  • Land Development Awards, May 15
  • Historic Preservation Grants, June 5

“We want to ensure that our residents and local organizations are safe, but we also want to give applicants ample opportunity to participate in these worthwhile programs,” said Somerset County Freeholder Director Shanel Y. Robinson.

Historic Preservation and History Awards honor individuals and organizations that demonstrate exemplary leadership in historic preservation and history education. 2019 Land Development & Planning Awards recognizes the superior site design of land development and planning, the enhancement of Somerset County’s character and those who address and resolve contemporary planning issues successfully.
