SOMERVILLE, NJ – Somerset County has canceled all Transportation and Senior Center services for Friday, Sept. 3, 2021, in response to the significant flooding throughout the county caused by the remnants of Hurricane Ida. Residents are asked to travel with caution and to not bypass any road barriers.

Senior centers will be temporarily closed. All outdoor activities, and Zoom programs are canceled. Home-delivered meals are temporarily suspended. Meal delivery clients are encouraged to use the frozen meals and heater-meals delivered earlier in the season. The Office on Aging and Disability Services at 27 Warren Street will also be closed for walk-ins.
Somerset County’s Office on Emergency Management, Transportation Services, and the Office on Aging and Disability Services will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates accordingly.
