Somerset County Prosecutor To Be Replaced
Geoffrey D. Soriano was ousted today as Somerset County Prosecutor; Michael Robertson of Basking Ridge will take his place.

Basking Ridge, NJ -- Basking Ridge resident Michael Robertson will be taking over as Somerset County Prosecutor.
“Robertson is a seasoned attorney with over a dozen years of experience in private practice and as a prosecutor, including the last eight years as an Assistant United States Attorney,” said Brian Murray, Public Information Officer with Governor Chris Christie. “Robertson will begin in that position on March 7.”
Geoffrey Soriano was ousted from his position as prosecutor today by the state Attorney General’s Office, only one day after the county was criticized for how it handled the high-profile Sept. 28, 2014 deaths of John and Joyce Sheridan, according to nj.com.
