Somerset County Senior Centers Announce August Activities

The senior centers operated by the Somerset County Office on Aging announce the summer program schedule.  All programs begin at 11 a.m. unless otherwise listed.  Please call for lunch reservations by 11 a.m. the day before you wish to come. Bingo – 1st and 3rd Thursday of the Month

Bridge – Every Tuesday, 9:30

Computer Class – Every Thursday, 10:45-11:30

Computer Lab – Daily, 10:00 – 3:00 (Call for availability)

Healthy Bones Class - Friday, 10:30 (Doctor note and Registration required)

Karaoke – Every Thursday, 10:45

Mahjong – 1st & 3rd Tuesday and Every Wednesday, 12:00

Pool Sharks – Pool Table Available Daily, 10:30 –3:30

Senior Flex Class (Upper & Lower Body exercise) – Every Monday, 10:30

Social Dancing – Every Tuesday, 10:45

Tai Chi – Every Thursday, call to register.  Beginners class at 12:00; Intermediate at 1:00

Art Exhibit by Local Artists – Open 9:30 to 3:30

August 11 – Facial and Makeup Techniques with Elisa Pompa, Licensed Beautician and Cosmetologist

August 18 – Dance Performance by the Franklin Township High Steppers

August 24 – "Backyard Bird Watching" by the Somerset County Park Commission Environmental Education Center

August 31 – "Let's Make a Deal" Monty Hall's 1963 Game Show is Recreated (Handbags and Deep Pockets Recommended)
