Songbird Volunteer Group: Making Dreams Come True

Songbird helps out in the Weichert Basking Rodge office's toy drive!

Imagine waking up on Christmas morning. You rush to wake up your parents, eager to rip open your presents and discover the treasures that lie under the tree. However, as soon as you get to the living room, you stop dead in you tracks. Your worst nightmare has come true: there are no presents. On November 26, Songbird Volunteer Youth Group worked hard to make sure that this nightmare does not come true for anyone. During the afternoon, 5 members and 3 parents used their own money and money donated from friends and family to buy toys for the less fortunate kids. Afterwards, they wrapped 23 toys and kept 22 toys unwrapped to let the kids choose what they wanted, coming to a total of 45 gifts. Each gift was finished with a holiday sticker that ensured the kids that Santa gave them a visit.
After the gifts were wrapped, Songbird sent the gifts to the Weichert Basking Ridge office’s toy drive. They send their wishes and hope as they carefully put the gifts in the box. Everyone went home feeling satisfied and elated that they could start off the holiday season helping kids fight of their nightmares and help their dreams come true!
