The Adult School of the Chathams, Madison and Florham Park is pleased to announce the opening of its spring registration. As a nonprofit organization, The Adult School is proud to have provided communities with lifelong learning opportunities since 1937. Its mission is to offer opportunities to learn new skills, re-new interests in long-forgotten hobbies, or simply have fun together with old and new friends alike.
Classes are currently offered during the day and in the evening in a variety of locations, including Basking Ridge, Chatham, Florham Park, Madison, and Westfield. No residency is required. The spring semester will offer more than 300 classes in a diverse range of subject areas, including computers, foreign languages, arts and crafts, food and cooking, dance and music, career and finance, home and garden, and sports and fitness.
In addition to classes, The Adult School also offers day-trips. There will be several trips to the hidden gems of our local communities: an Insider’s View of Madison, Sunday Sketch at Westfield’s Historic Reeve House, and Opera at Florham with dinner at a local restaurant, to name a few. Those wanting to venture a bit further can join The Adult School’s bus trips to Broadway (To Kill a Mockingbird, The Prom, and Kiss Me, Kate), the Culinary Institute of America, a pizza tour of NYC, and more!
