Voting Machine Issue In Basking Ridge Has Been Fixed
The voting machine for district 8 at the Lutheran Church on Lake Road had been down since this morning. It is now back online.

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — An issue with a voting machine in Bernards Township has been fixed, according to the township as of 12:45 p.m. on Election Day.
The machine is located at Somerset Hills Lutheran Church, 350 Lake Road, Basking Ridge for Districts 5 and 8.
It had been malfunctioning since this morning prompting a technician to be called out to work on it, Township Clerk Administrative Assistant Leslie Meth told Patch.

When the technician couldn't fix the machine the township had a new machine brought in, said Meth.
"The voting machine for district 8 at the Lutheran Church on Lake Road is back in service," said the township in an alert to residents on Tuesday.

Residents affected by the malfunctioning machine may return and cast their vote until the polls close at 8 p.m. Residents that have already cast a provisional ballot may not vote again on the voting machine, according to the township.
Widespread voting machine issues were also reported in Mercer County and Jersey City on Tuesday.
