What the Flock is going on?
Flamingos are invading yards in Basking Ridge...Luckily the RYSI Varsity Cheerleaders can assist!

If you’ve been driving around Basking Ridge for the past week, you may have noticed a strange migratory phenomenon: flocks of pink plastic flamingos adorning lawns throughout the town. If you should wake up to find a bunch of pink flamingos gracing your lawn one morning, you’ve been “flocked”.
The “flocking” — a mysterious predawn assault on front yards that leaves the pink fowl in its wake — is a fundraising effort by the Ridge Youth Sports Varsity Cheerleaders. Under the cover of darkness, our cheerleader “flock squad” has been placing flamingos on lawns with a letter letting the recipient how to play along. The birds roost on lawns for 2-3 days or until our trained cheerleaders remove the birds and move them to their next location. For a suggested donation of $20, the flock will be removed . You can also designate their next destination and “flock a friend” for a donation to the team.
The proceeds from this flocking fundraiser will help the cheerleaders on their road to their National Cheer Competition. In an added twist, and because RYSI cheer “gives a flock”, a portion of the funds raised will be donated to the Morristown Soup Kitchen and Outreach Center. The squad is also collecting food donations when they move the flocks.
