VA Seeking Dedicated Volunteers
Lyons, NJ – The Voluntary Service Program at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) New Jersey Health Care System is seeking dedicated volunteers to provide supplemental assistance as a Meal Mate in our Community Living Center.

Volunteer Meal Mate responsibilities include the following: providing companionship, encouragement, and feeding assistance for Veterans during meal times. All prospective volunteers are required to attend processing and training prior to their assignment. Meal Mate opportunities are currently available throughout the week during the following times: 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.
