1 Killed In Fiery Car Crash Near Belleville: Police
Authorities said the single-car crash happened around 4:30 a.m. Tuesday.
BELLEVILLE, NJ — A person is dead following a fiery, single-car crash near Belleville early Tuesday morning, according to authorities.
Belleville police said the crash happened shortly after 4:30 a.m. on northbound Route 21 between mile markers 7.1 and 7.2. When police arrived, officers found a black Dodge Dart engulfed in flames.
Once members of the Belleville Fire Department extinguished the flames, officers found a body in the car's driver seat, police said.

Police have not released the victim's name.
