2 Arrested After Argument Over Face Masks In Nutley Store: Police

A convenience store manager told man and a woman they needed masks to remain inside. They didn't agree, Nutley police said.

NUTLEY, NJ — Nutley police arrested two people last week after they allegedly threatened the manager of a local convenience store during an argument over face masks, authorities said.

According to the Nutley Police Department, the manager of a store on Centre Street called officers about “threats” made by two customers on July 8.

The manager told officers that a man and a woman walked into the store without masks. When they were told they needed masks to remain inside, a “back and forth discussion” erupted, police said.
