2 Car Thefts Reported In Nutley; See Where Latest Incidents Happened
A BMW was stolen from the parking lot of a local business while its owner was inside making a purchase, Nutley police said.

NUTLEY, NJ — Nutley police recently released details about two car thefts that took place in the township.
The first theft took place on April 30 on Centre Street. The victim told police that their BMW X3 was stolen from the Rita’s parking lot while they were inside making a purchase. The keys were left in the vehicle, but the car wasn’t running, authorities said.
The victim said a man got into the car and drove away, following a white BMW SUV.

The thief was described as a male wearing a black face mask, black gloves and a black coat with white stripes down the sleeves, police said.

Another vehicle theft was reported on Villa Place on May 2, police said.
Here’s what happened, authorities said:
“Officers responded to a report of a past occurred motor vehicle theft. Upon arrival, the homeowner stated that their 2007 Infiniti white G35 was stolen out of the driveway. The key fob was left inside the vehicle and the car was seen on their home security system driven out of the driveway.”
The victim walked down the street and found their car parked on Grant Avenue, Nutley police added.
