2023 MLK Day In Belleville: Celebrate With An ‘Act Of Kindness’

BELLEVILLE, NJ — Belleville will celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day with a flag raising event and a “call to service” for 2023.

According to a municipal notice, the flag raising ceremony will take place at noon on Monday, Jan. 16 at Town Hall, 152 Washington Avenue.

Township officials are also encouraging residents to celebrate the holiday by performing an “act of kindness” such as donating a nonperishable item to a local food bank, writing a letter of appreciation to a teacher or first responder, or visiting a senior citizen.
