BELLEVILLE, NJ — A spooky good time is expected to take place in Belleville at a family friendly, Halloween-themed event this weekend.

The township will host a 2026 Halloween Fun Fest on Saturday, Oct. 24. The event – which is geared towards families and children up to 12 – will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Belleville High School, 100 Passaic Avenue.

Here’s what is planned, organizers say:

• TRUNK-OR-TREAT: Our HSA groups, our schools, local government departments, elected officials, and community organizations are bringing decorated trunks and candy!
• PUMPKIN PATCH: Kids can pick a pumpkin, decorate it, and take it home while supplies last!
• MAZE: Let the kids explore and play in the maze!
• ARTS & CRAFTS: Enjoy hands-on activities at stations designed for all ages.
• MAD SCIENCE: Catch a show at 12:00 PM or 1:00 PM! Each show runs approximately 30 minutes. Mad Science booth activities will close while the shows are happening.COSTUME CONTEST: Go ALL OUT! Our committee will be walking around judging costumes, and winners will be called up onstage. Awards take place at approximately 1:30 PM.
• FOOD TRUCKS: Food, snacks, and treats will be available for purchase.
• PARKING: Enter from Greylock Parkway onto Austin Street or find available street parking. Parking will NOT be available at School 7 nor under the Solar Panels.

The township shared a few other reminders for people planning to attend:
