3 Family Friendly Events In Nutley For Halloween 2023

NUTLEY, NJ — It’s Halloween season in Nutley, and there are several family-friendly activities on the calendar for 2023.
Here are three local events for families seeking to celebrate the holiday.
HALLOWEEN SPOOKTACULAR

The Nutley Parks and Recreation building will host their annual Halloween Spooktacular Celebration extravaganza at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 27 in the Parks and Recreation Department’s gym at 44 Park Avenue.
The event is open to the public and will include Halloween snacks, drinks, a hayride and more.

Children must be accompanied by at least one responsible adult throughout the event. Nutley residents are required to pre-register on their community pass account (https://register.communitypass.net/nutley) and bring the printed confirmation with them for entry. Valid proof of residency is mandatory upon entry for those who do not pre-register.
If inclement weather occurs, the hayride will be canceled.

“The Halloween Spooktacular Celebration will provide the children of our community a safe and positive environment to celebrate Halloween and have some holiday fun,” Commissioner Mauro Tucci said.
SPOOKY SPRINT
The Nutley Department of Public Affairs and Health will present the 2023 “Spooky Sprint” at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 29.
Organizers said the event will start in Kingsland Park and follow the park system pathway back to the Kingsland Manor, where participants will be treated to sweets, activities and “spooktacular treats.” Costumes are strongly encouraged, organizers said.

TRUNK OR TREAT
Nutley’s 13th annual Trunk Or Treat event will take place from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 31 at the Public Safety Building, 228 Chestnut Street.
Organizers said the Trunk of Treat will offer children a “safe way to celebrate Halloween filled with treats, sweets, games and fun.” Costumes are welcomed and encouraged.
