3-Vehicle Crash In Irvington; Hillside Woman Dies: Authorities
A woman's car collided with a Honda Accord, which caused her vehicle to hit the rear of a NJ Transit bus and roll over, prosecutors said.
ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — A Hillside woman died in a three-vehicle crash in Essex County on Monday, authorities said.
The crash took place at 2:42 p.m. on Eastern Parkway in Irvington, according to a joint statement from the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office and the Irvington Police Department.
Marie A. Edwards, 71, of Hillside, was pronounced dead at the scene at 3:03 p.m., authorities said.

A preliminary investigation indicates that Edwards’ car collided with a Honda Accord, which caused her vehicle to hit the rear of a NJ Transit bus and roll over, prosecutors said.
The Irvington Police Department and the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide/Major Crimes Task Force are conducting an ongoing investigation.

As of Tuesday, no charges have been filed against any of the other drivers, authorities said.
