5 Cars ‘Ransacked’ In Nutley; Most Were Unlocked, Police Say
Several cars in the area of Plymouth and Cook Roads were illegally entered and "ransacked," Nutley police said.
NUTLEY, NJ — Several cars in the area of Plymouth and Cook Roads were illegally entered and “ransacked” last week, Nutley police announced Friday.
The Nutley Police Department released the following statement about the thefts, which took place on March 20:
“Five vehicles in the area of Plymouth and Cook Roads were entered, with items removed, and interiors ransacked between Sunday night and Monday morning. The detective bureau was advised and responded to process the scenes that were not already compromised.”
Most of the vehicles were left unlocked, police said.

A canvass of the area yielded some surveillance footage, authorities said. No additional information was immediately available.
