7 Competing For 3 Seats On Belleville School Board: 2019 Election

BELLEVILLE, NJ — The battlefield is set for the Belleville Board of Education election this November.

According to the Essex County Clerk’s Office, seven candidates have filed to run for three open seats on the board as part of the 2019 general election. Each term lasts three years.

The candidates for 2019 are:

  • Gynise Gotto – Continued Progress
  • Thomas Grolimond - Continued Progress
  • Carlos Marzan - Continued Progress
  • Gabrielle Bennett-Meany – A Better Belleville
  • Luis Muniz – A Better Belleville
  • Ralph Tunis – A Better Belleville
  • Raymond Kuebler – For the Children

Three current members of the board have terms due to expire in 2020: Grolimond, Gotto and Liza Lopez.

The last day to file school board election petitions was Monday, July 29. The 2019 general election will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 5.
