Abandoned Belleville House Burglarized: Snow Blower, Air Compressor and 16 Car Batteries Stolen

Belleville police also say that a burglary attempt was made at a Little Street home.

Belleville police reported that an abandoned house on Brook Street was recently robbed.

According to the Belleville Police Department, the owner of the home stated that sometime between Nov. 20 and Nov. 23, an unknown person stole $2,150 worth of items from his home, including a snow blower, an air compressor and 16 vehicle batteries.

There were no signs of forced entry to the home, police stated.

Police also reported that there was an attempted burglary at a Little Street home at 3:34 p.m. on Nov. 20.

According to authorities, the homeowner told police that he saw a man walking around the front of his house to the rear of a neighbor’s residence. When the homeowner went to the rear of his house, he allegedly saw that a plastic window had been removed and there were pry marks on the door lock.

The homeowner said that the man was about 6 feet with a large build and wearing a black sweat jacket, police said.
