Accused Carjackers In Nutley Fled Towards Belleville: Police
An attempted carjacking took place in Nutley, with the two suspects fleeing the scene towards Belleville, police said.
NUTLEY, NJ — An attempted carjacking allegedly took place in Nutley earlier this month, with the two suspects fleeing the scene in a Lincoln Town Car towards Belleville, authorities said.
According to the Nutley Police Department, the incident took place on March 8 in a parking lot on Franklin Avenue. The victim told officers that two men in black, hooded sweatshirts tried to steal their car. One acted as the thief and the other as the getaway driver, using a black Lincoln Town Car.
The victim said they ran in front of their vehicle and put their hands on the hood, trying to stop the would-be thief from driving off.

Not to be thwarted, the suspect kept trying to make their getaway, “accelerating towards the victim multiple times,” police said.
The would-be thief finally gave up and ran away, getting into the Lincoln Town Car. The getaway driver fled the scene towards Belleville, police said.
