The holiday season is upon us, and the spirit of sharing, caring and kindness is in the air.

For almost two decades, Nutley residents have shown amazing kindness and generosity towards the community at large by donating to the Treasure Chest/Adopt a Family program. This program is an important, life altering, and of course heartwarming initiative intended to provide peace of mind to parents trying to provide a happy, memorable Christmas for their children.
This year we are experiencing a drastic decrease in donations while experiencing a surge in the number of families in need. We need your help! The suggested donation is a $25 gift card to any large department store such as Target, Kohl’s, Face Value, Amazon and ShopRite, just to name a few.

The department of Public Affairs and Health will be collecting donations at this year’s tree lighting ceremony on Sunday, Dec. 4 between the hours of 4:30 and 6 p.m. Please consider donating to this worthwhile initiative and know that your kindness will positively impact the life of a child in need.
We are also accepting donations at the Department of Public Affairs, 149 Chestnut Street, no later than December 10, 2022, so we have time to get the gift cards to our families. Please put your gift card(s) into an envelope and include your name, address and email, and phone. Any and all donations are greatly appreciated.
For more information, call the Department of Public Affairs and Health at 973-284-4976 and ask for Sharon Bozza.
