BELLEVILLE-NUTLEY, NJ — Several people were seriously injured in a car crash on Route 21 near the border of Nutley and Belleville last weekend, authorities say.
According to the Nutley Police Department, the crash took place Saturday on the northbound portion of the highway.
Police said a vehicle collided with and went over the center median, then struck two other cars that were traveling on Rt. 21 south.
Several passengers sustained serious injuries and were transported to local hospitals for treatment.
The Nutley Police Department and the Essex County Prosecutor's Office are investigating the crash, authorities said.
