BELLEVILLE, NJ — Belleville will be flushing fire hydrants this week near the Bloomfield border, and it may cause low water pressure or discoloration for some nearby residents.
The township released the following advisory about the routine monthly test:
"Please be advised Belleville Township will be flushing hydrants from Tuesday, Sept 1, 2026 through Tuesday, Sept 8, 2026 from Mills Street to Newark Avenue and from Franklin Avenue to Bloomfield border. During this time you may experience low water pressure or discolored water. Thank you in advance for your patience."
More hydrant flushing will be taking place from Tuesday, Sept. 8 through Tuesday, Sept 29 from Franklin to Union avenues and from Belleville Avenue to Joralemon Street, the township noted.
