NUTLEY, NJ — Get ready for "The Haunting" in Essex County.
Cowan's Public at 229 Centre Street in Nutley will be one of two New Jersey venues hosting "The Haunting" pop-up bars this Halloween season.
Inspired by childhood haunted houses, glowing jack-o'-lanterns, vintage decorations and late-night horror movie marathons, participating bars will transform into immersive hideaways complete with over-the-top décor, original cocktails, spooky surprises and exclusive collectibles.
Among the cocktails making their debut are the "Widow's Whisper," "Scream-sicle," "Poison Apple," "Liquid Lobotomy" and "Clown Pear-anoia," alongside spirit-free options.
The Haunting on Centre Street will be up at Cowan's Public from Oct. 1 to Nov. 1.
Cowan's Public has also hosted similar holiday-themed events before, such as the "Miracle" Christmas pop-up bars.
