Belleville Car Wash Burglarized; Thieves Entered Through Skylight

The thieves made their entrance through the skylight on the building's roof, Belleville police said.

BELLEVILLE, NJ — A Belleville car wash on Washington Avenue experienced a minor burglary last month, with the thieves making their entrance through the skylight on the building’s roof, authorities said.

According to the Belleville Police Department, officers responded to the business on Feb. 28 after learning about an activated commercial burglar alarm. On arrival, police met the owner and entered the building. After examining the premises, police determined that the intruder made their entry through a skylight on the roof.

Authorities said that two watches valued at $50 were stolen from an interior office. Belleville police are investigating the incident.
