Belleville Cop Retires After 3 Decades Of Service To Town

A longtime Belleville police officer recently got a fond sendoff from his peers, family and friends at a "walkout" ceremony.

BELLEVILLE, NJ — A longtime Belleville police officer recently got a fond retirement sendoff from his peers, family and friends at a “walkout” ceremony.

Cpt. Vincent Cerca got a rousing round of applause at the ceremony, which took place at police headquarters earlier this month. Cerca has served the township for 30 years.

“Congrats captain and best of luck, continued success and good health in all your future endeavors,” the BPD wrote.
