Belleville Cops Catch Paterson Residents In Allegedly Stolen Truck
The Paterson residents drove past a Belleville police patrol car in an allegedly stolen pickup truck, authorities say.
Belleville police arrested two Paterson residents after witnessing them driving in an allegedly stolen pickup truck around midnight on Oct. 27.
According to police, officers on patrol in the area of Rutgers Street received information via computer about a stolen motor vehicle in the area. The officers then reportedly observed the vehicle – a 2011 Toyota pickup truck – pass by their patrol car.
After conducting a vehicle stop, the officers were able to confirm that the vehicle was reported stolen out of Paterson, police stated.

Officers arrested Miguel Coriano, 45, of Paterson, and Amilcar Lerdo, 31, of Paterson, and charged them with possession of stolen property.
