Belleville Cops Find Heroin, Oxycodone Stuffed In Newark Man’s Underwear

Belleville police arrested a Newark man earlier this month after finding heroin and oxycodone stuffed in his underwear, authorities say.

BELLEVILLE, NJ — Belleville police arrested a Newark man earlier this month after finding heroin and oxycodone stuffed in his underwear, authorities say.

According to the Belleville Police Department, officers allegedly saw a vehicle circle the block in the area of Heckel Street and fail to signal before a turn around 11 p.m. on July 18. After stopping the driver, officers allegedly observed the rear seat passenger – later identified as William Fanslau, 28 - reach inside his pants.

When officers asked Fanslau for identification, they discovered that he had an active no-bail warrant out of the Essex County Sheriff's Office, police said.

After arresting and searching Fanslau, officers found a plastic bag stuffed into his underwear that contained heroin and 14, small blue oxycodone pills, police stated.

Authorities charged Fanslau with two counts of possession of CDS with intent to distribute and two counts of intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of a school.

The driver of the vehicle was advised and sent on his way, police stated.
